EMR Software Pricing

I am writing this piece to express & share my knowledge of the EMR software pricing model from various vendors. There are all sorts of models available from per provider , per patient , monthly subscription fee to a one time startup purchase fee.

I am not comfortable with the one time startup cost for its fee as well as the commitment that I will use this EMR software forever.
I have received numerous opinions on the per patient model as well and am not sure how providers benefit in the long run in this model.
